The problem is not a shortage of AI capability. It is the absence of a clear framework for deciding what is actually worth adopting.

The FOMO Trap

Marketing teams are under a specific kind of pressure right now: the fear that a competitor is using some combination of AI tools that gives them a structural advantage, and that by not adopting aggressively enough, the gap will compound. This pressure drives adoption that is reactive rather than strategic.

The result is a technology stack full of overlapping tools, each of which requires learning time and workflow integration, few of which are being used to their actual potential, and most of which were adopted because they were trending rather than because they solved a specific identified problem.
